Reconstruction of the state main road A2 Rīga-Sigulda-Estonian border surface in the section from 15,40 to 25,50 km

Period of reconstruction works: 330 calendar days.
The volume of works was finished in half a shorter period than predicted.
The asphalt surface was reconstructed in total length of 20 km. The road surface was reconstructed with recycling method – the old surface was cut, cement was added for additional durability and the resulting material was evened up. On this layer asphalt was spread in three layers.
Within the project also the road mains over the railway was reconstructed, as well as the traffic mains of the regional motor road over Vidzeme motorway was rebuilt.
In the reconstruction area the transport stops were reconstructed, metal safety barriers were installed, rainwater drainage was constructed in a separate section, ditches were cleaned and culverts were reconstructed.
