The footbridge in Valmiera is 145 m long, with 111 m central span, two pylons and a 3 m wide section of the pavement.
During the year allotted for the redevelopment, the builders dismantled the bridge‘s old pavement, painted all the bridge‘s metal structures,
created a new concrete slab pavement with a special asphalt and chippings laid on top. The structure has a new hydroinsulation.
The bridge has new railings, a refurbished lighting system. Damage to the protective braid and anchorage of the cranes has been repaired.
A turnaround area and a small recreation area have been set up at the mouth.
